Intercheck is slowing down computer

Whenever I open Adobe Flash CS5 or Cyberduck, Intercheck takes 99 to 100 percent of the CPU.  Which considerably slows down  those application when they start up.  Is there a way to exclude those applications?

  • It's likely not the applications that are the issue, but some files that are accessed.  For example Flash is likely loading in a bunch of Flash files, all of which get  unpacked and scanned by SAV prior to being made available to Flash.  Do you have Archive scanning enabled for on-access scans?

  • I did have Archive scanning on.  I turned it off and everything sped up.

    Thanks.

  • Sorry Guys ... disabling the Archive Scanning Feature is no solution, it's only a bad workaround. I put Cyberduck in the List of Excluded Objects (a little less bad workaround) , but this seams not work. Please check if you can do some Improvements in Sophos, to enable the Second workaround or speed up scanning of jar's.

    Best Regards
