Feedback: update error notification, in-app feedback

Earlier today, while using my computer, I happened to notice that the Sophos menubar item was showing a black & white "X" to denote that something was wrong. I checked the autoupdate window and saw that the problem seemed to have been that, 45 minutes prior, it couldn't connect to the server. I was concerned about the fact that I hadn't noticed the error for 45 minutes.

So: why not make the "X" error icon show up as red so it's more noticeable? In theory, that shouldn't happen very often, so it would be good to be alerted as quickly as possible.

Second suggestion: it would be nice to be able to use the app to send feedback about it, instead of having to register on a forum. My message, for example, doesn't really need a response, so it's kind of silly to have to go to the trouble to register in this case.
