Mal/FakeAV-Li

I keep getting Mal/FakeAV-Li attached to spam emails from "Western Union." Then I receive a Sophos alert. The Sophos alert tells me to clean up manually. I have tried to follow directions repeatedly but can't . . . so can Sophos make these directions easier to follow or could someone please show me the light? Also, if I have Sophos on my computer, do I need to install it a second time for my backup HD? But . . . if I can't figure out how to manually clean up viruses, it's probabaly not doing any good anyway. I'd really appreciate some help. Thanks.

  • Have you read  these instructions? Most people on these forums have determined that they are the easiest to follow.

However, you're talking about malicious Windows executable attachments to emails sent from a BredoLab botnet -- all you need to do to remove the threat is delete the email and associated attachments, as there is nothing at all useful in those emails.
