How do I know if sophos is running in Windows?

I installed sophos on a mac and was able to see the shield in the task bar. Now in Windows 7 I don´t see anything anywhere so I don´t know if Sophos is running. The software is up to date version 2.2

    Hello LisbethA,

    what you have on Windows is the Sophos Virus Removal Tool, an on-demand scanning utility only. There's no Sophos home user AV product for Windows (free or licensed) like the Mac version.
