Hi - I've been trying tio get the Sophos Bootable Antivirus CD to run on a HP 650 Laptop. The Scan runs but only scan 60 files and finds no Viruses. The Sophos Endpoint Console in Windows (W8) shows numerous viruses.
Is it possible the Tool is only scanning a small recovery partition rather than the main Data partition? If so how can i point the Tool to scan the correct partition(s)
On the Laptop there are the following Partitions showing in Disk Management;
400MB Recovery Partition
260MB EFI system
448GB C: Drive - (This is drive I would like toi scan)
16GB OEM Recovery Partition
To run the ToolI first have to go into the BIOS to Disable Scure Boot and enable Legacy
After the Linux utility has loaded I select Sophos Advanced Scans > Disinfect Viruses
"Remouting NTFS partitioms....
Then almost immediately.
1 master boot record swept
1 boot sector swept
60 files swept in 16 seconds
No viruses were discovered
End of sweep
No suitable devices to save log file"
I'm assuming it hasn't scanned the main C: drive? Is there a way to use the 'Bash Shell' to point the scan to a desired drive?
Any help apreciated
Regards
SS
