"Could not contact primary server" error message

I get the above message when trying to run AutoUpdate.  Whose server is it that it cannot contact, and how do I fix it?

    It's the update server (where you get detection updates, engine updates, and product updates), and is hosted on Akamai.  Please use the Board Search feature to find issues and solutions related to this message.
