sloooooow!

Ok - since using this software it seems like my computer is sloooow.  apps take longer to open and things just slowed down.  what is going on?  if this is normal - it is not good.

also found a trojan javascript  on an old powerbook and removed and a malware on a macbook pro - go figure,  

comments welcome.

I have been tempted to go back to not using anything.  way too slow for my needs - esp when the laptops are not the fastest out there either.

    I had the same issue.  It was especially visible when I tried opening files on Preview.  There was a long and annoying lag.  I took my laptop to the Genius bar and turns out it's Sophos that's doing it.  I uninstalled it and now my apps, especially Preview, work perfectly.  I'm running Lion on my Mac so the Genius said that he believes that maybe since Lion is relatively new, Sophos still has some updating to do.  Hopefully they fix the glitch--I like feeling safe when I use the computer.
