FREE Download of Anti Airus SW "EROR MESGS"

WHen I try to download the FREE Anti Virus software it starts to Run and then I get the following message

:Extraction file to temp folder CRC failed in Sophos

Virus Removal Tool msi

Unwxpected end of archive

With a smaller dialog i

Some Installation files are corrupt

Please download a fresh copy &

retry installationl

We tried this 2 times and keep getting the same thing

I'm a first time user so please HELP.

    it seems to be a download problem. As of now the download should have 82,493,320 bytes. Which browser are you using?

    Christian,

    I use Internet Explorer and have no idea how large the download file is.

    Hope this helps and am anxious to get the Virus checker downloaded to give the boot to any virus's

    I forgot to ask:

    Is 82,493,320 bytes considered a large download file? Also how does one find out how big a download file is 

    and do you think that size is an issue or there might be a corrupt file in downloading?

    Hello Don,

    80MB isn't considered large nowadays (aside: I vividly remember when a co got his new IBM PS/2 with a 100MB hard disk and we all said, how on earth will you ever make use of all this space?).

    Can't say what could corrupt the file. When you open the link IE should prompt you whether you want to [run] or [save] this file. Choose [save] and make note of the name and location, after the download has finished use Explorer to navigate to the file.  Right-click and select properties - this will tell you the size.
