Misbehaviour of menu bar items in 10.9?

Hello,

I'm a happy Sophos Antivirus for Mac user (Home edition), which is installed on my MacBook Pro Retina with OSX 10.9 (French).

I really like your software, which does what it says without being intrusive or heavy on ressources.

That said, I've noticed a misbehaviour in the Finder bar menu : The only keys that work for me here are "Update Now", "Show AutoUpdate Window" and "About Sophos Antivirus". If I click f.i. on "Open Preferences" the command is not executed.

Best regards,
Mani Muller

  • Thanks for your reply, ruckus. In fact I've tried to uninstall/reinstall after upgrading to Mavericks, but since the OS upgrade Sophos menu has never worked as expected.

Most icons simply don't react when clicked on (except for Update Now, Show AutoUpdate Window and About...)

It's not a big issue of course, but I wanted to draw your attention to it. I can easily wait for version 9.0.5 ;-)
