New To Sophos

Question

Hi,

I am a new user and so far am impressed with the ease that I can use Sophos re scanning both full and custom, but have one question re computability.

I also run Onyx as a cleanup utility and would like to know if I should disable Sophos real time protection prior to running Onyx, I only ask because I read that another Mac Antivirus software did have issues with Onyx.

Any information would be gratefully received.

I can imagine some edge cases where SAV on-access might have some problems with Onyx, but that would presuppose malware existing on your system; since Onyx only runs existing system tools and cleans the caches, it should run fine as l ong as you've run SAV first and cleaned up any malware found.  I run both with no problems so far. :1002735
