Anything on MACDefender?

HI,

I am quite new to the Apple Family, since last August, Only just heard about this Malware on MacOSKen's Podcast, it is called MACDefender, so the first place I came to was this forum and did a search, not a single post on it.

Do you guys have anymore details, is it in the DB for the free version?

Hello Hugh,

as you can read in these nakedsecurity articles from May 2 and May 6 Sophos does detect this malware. All Sophos products share the same detection database and are several times a day updated with new identities.
