I just installed Sophos and had a full scan which was rather quick (compared to Clam)
Then I noticed that Calibre was very, very slow in starting up. Since I had just moved the library to a NAS I suspected that to be the problem, but after excluding the NAS from on acces scanning the problem remained. I than excluded the Applications folder from on access scanning and.... yes.... Calibre starts within seconds instead of 5 minutes.
I than copied MacPilot to a scanned folder: it took 3 times as much time to start as if not on access scanned. (3secs against 10 secs)
I think the on access takes to much speed to be used in some cases. It makes me wanted the Applications excluded!
