Yesterday, I downloaded and installed SOPHOS v/ 8.0.9 to my IMac running OS 10.8.2. When I opened SOPHOS. a small window indicated that an initial scan of my "Local Drives" had not been preformed, So, I clicked on the "Start Scan" button and after calculating, the screen indicated that there were about 2,300,000 "Items Remaining" and the total began to decline. After several hours the "Items Remaining" had been reduced to about 1,7000,000, and a short time later the SOPHOS window disappeared from my desktop and SOPHOS had shut down. On re-opening SOPHOS, the only way to re-start the scan was to begin again, and the same thing happened two more times. I was not eve at the computer when the scan window disappeared. To say the least - VERY FRUSTRATING. Can you help???
