WM/Laicos-A

Sophos detected one virus in a scan of my discs. It was in e-mail of today from Portugal.
Quarantine identified the threat as WM/Laicos-A
The link was to Sophos web page with the the thread entered in"Your search terms" as WM/Laicos-A. The search of the entire site returns "we didn't find anything".
Can anyone tell me how to remove it manually.

  • WM indicates it is a Microsoft Word macro virus.  As such, you have the options are to disinfect the document with Sophos, delete the document from your mail program (first option if it's spam), or strip the macros out of the document (first launch Word or Open/LibreOffice, disable macros, then open the document and save it in some other format such as RTF -- or just go to the Macro listing and delete the marcros).
