Free tool for testing network connectivity

Hi guys, is there any free tool which I could use to test a small issues we have with the network connection in some of the remote sites? Currently we have a users behind RED50 which is connected to Sophos UTM 320 and users experience an issues when they try to connect over WLAN and authenticate to a NPS server. Thanks in advance
