No, as it contains the latest engine and threat data - but... please note that the mentioned article, step 3.2., says Download the latest virus identity (IDE) files.

Ok, SAV32CLI is still version 4.98, February 2014. But now it say (with the latest IDEs):

SAV32CLI considers itself as outdated after several months as there have likely been engine updates in the meantime, some newer IDEs might not play to their full potential or even be effectively no-ops.

:smileytongue: It's better to be ahead, here's what you get with SESC 10.3.7 (the AV product):

So much for an update being released in the "next week"  I'm still seeing February when I try to update the SAV32CLI.  It's a great tool and I know the updated ide files are frequent, but this is getting ridiculous.

I look forward to a new Engine release.

There was a time when it was upgraded monthly.  Albeit there have also been times where months have gone by w/o a new release.  It does seem this perios was a little longer than usual.
