Rootkit virus remover downloaded; can't find it

I downloaded the free rootkit removal tool, but can't find where it is on my laptop.  Is it suppose to open automatically?

    Hello AllegraFL,

    whether a download opens immediately or not depends in your browser and its settings, the download location has similar dependencies. Retry the download and make note of its name and where it is stored. This should enable you to locate it (otherwise search your local drives for the name).
