Sophos 8.0.1c - cannot enable on-access scan

I can't enable the on-access scan, it is completely greyed out.  Even when I select the unlock button it remains greyed out.  I've tried restarting, reinstalling, running all scans but there is no way to enable this.  I am the administrator on my account.

Any one else having this issue?

    Are you using an administrator account or a user account?  It sounds like you've got a user account and the file permissions somehow got set incorrectly during the update (upgrading via the user account instead of an admin account maybe?).
