Sophos 8.0.1c - cannot enable on-access scan

I can't enable the on-access scan, it is completely greyed out.  Even when I select the unlock button it remains greyed out.  I've tried restarting, reinstalling, running all scans but there is no way to enable this.  I am the administrator on my account.

Any one else having this issue?

    Same here. I installed Sophos 8.0.1c a few days ago, and everything worked fine. Since today, the shield remains grey, the on access settings tab shows it's disabled and the button to enable it is disabled and shows the label "Scan anhalten" (stop scan in german). A few minutes after login a popup shows up that tells me the Anti-Virus process is not running. Any ideas how to fix this?
