used the Sophos Conflicker Removal Tool on a Windows7 Computer

Sophos and All,

used the Sophos Conflicker Removal Tool on a Windows7 Computer it Detected and Removed it, now Workstation and related services won't work, which won't allow me to browse and user other dependent services.

Is there something the removal does which would allow me to restore back any files and/or settings?

    Hi,

    Theres nothing that the removal tool does which would change those settings on your machine so its possible they were already causing a problem (or depending on which variant of the virus - the virus itself may have changed some settings).

    The first thing to do would be to look at the log from the tool to see exactly what was found on your machine and then look on our website to see what other changes the infection may have caused.
