Conficker virus network scan

Hi all ,

looking for saome help on getting rid of this pest, i have downloaded the network tool that we are wanting to apply by group policy but keep getting errors when applying ,

im just not sure what bits to leave in the script provided and what to remove...

been speaking the guys at sophos about switching our antivirus, but as all good companies do we have another year to run with our current one ..

any help would be great

Hi Paddi,
First can you make sure you have been through this article:
Sophos Anti-Virus for Windows 2000+: removing W32/Confick and Mal/Conficker
As much as you can do. Patching and setting up your AV to block everything, and HIPS if they have similar.
Also make sure Every single machine has AV enabled.
When you are deploying the tool, what errors are you getting ?
Have you set the correct network settings:

There is a visible/show option which can help you troubleshoot problems. Edit the script and boot a machine and see what happens.
This article should also help trying to track down what machine is still spreading it:
Sophos Anti-Virus: Tracking and finding Conficker infections
As long as one machine is still infected, you are likely to still see it spreading.
