Screen Lock

G'day all. Could anyone please tell me whether Sophos is able to disable the International Police Association sreen lock scam? I ran a scan the other day which did not work. I've just tried to download the Sophos anti spyware programme but was unsuccessful as I can't complete the installation as I'm having to run the computer in safe mode.

Hello MLV,
sorry it took that long to reply. Have you already solved your problem?
SVRT uses the Installer and therefore can't be installed in Safe Mode. It seems that it is possible to install it on another machine, copy the program's folder (\Sophos\Sophos Virus Removal Tool\) to the infected machine and run it (but I didn't have time to test it in Safe Mode).
Another option would be SAV32CLI
