  • great advice my room mate downloaded one of the popular free anti virus programs and it didn't protect her lap top from some cyber nasties even many of the more popular anti virus programs are no good as hackers write code to crack those (nortons etc)

I use webroot for the last 3 years for my personal computing needs and have not had a problem since

  • How do you define businesses? I am an individual with 50 small - medium sized websites some of which provide links to products and others which are entirely informational. Would I quakify as a busines?

  • Hello Mark,

I'm not Sophos so this is not an official reply. :smileytongue: Simply put - if you are willing to fork over a sufficient amount you are a business :smileytongue: (but see Note).

Seriously - licenses are probably only issued to registered businesses (some kind of legal entity). Anti-Virus is also not an end-user product meaning it consists of a management part (for which you need a "server") and the client product/licenses. Only your server(s) is/are in general entitled to download the software and updates from Sophos and the clients have to use your server as "update location".

Note: see the price quotes for the Sophos Products for 100 seats or less

  • I will try this trial version of sophos and if I am satisfied with this software, I will purchase and change my old software I am using now.
