11d2c051-74a8-4aab-a9f9-21e8b2f2fe.com was listed as running in the task manager...I turned on the task manager to see what was going on when the computer suddenly got sluggish. I had just installed Sophos as a back up after finding it on Facebook..saw that it ran well with any other installed anti-virus.
The task manager had several tasks going up and down with cpu usage..to many to keep track of. I saw that MsMpEng.exe that was affiliated with my antivirus was using tons of cpu...but it was not updating as I had it schedule to update when an activated scan started. But the others were so numerous I could not keep track of as they blinked on and off.
The entry moved to the top of the task manager and disappeared.
I ran several programs to check. Everything is up to date. Installed and ran the superantispyware ,malwarebytes anti-malware trial, Rootkit and anti-virus from Sophos...ran them all.
After I ran all programs the very next day is when this appeared. I thought it might have something to do with my 64 bit xp pro and rootkit but it ran well the previous day.
I currently have Sophos antivirus and MSE running and use them as my protection now and they seem to work good together. I can't find anything on this and it disappeared to fast for the process explorer to check it out.
If anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated.
