question about ransom threat and a suspicious unclassified malware

1 - i use internet security premium and need to know if this detects the ransom threat described in the blogs and\

2 - i had a spam with a virus pdf called unionrfc.pdf from a supposed cara @netstable.com and in the scan event log it is just unclassified malware and no information in knowledge base or even google and need to know if any of you know what this does or if this is part of the new ransom threat and i was able to catch it before it got me
