It took weeks until I encountered the error but I can reproduce it. Typing a UNC path to a "root" share (eg \\server\c$) in Start->Run... and then right-clicking this folder in the explorer window causes an exception in explorer. Right-clicking one of the visible shares first and the C$ works.
The error does not occur when this tool is not installed but it's probably some other software registered for the context menu because I haven't seen the error on other computers.
