network install of Shortcut Exploit tool

Anyone successfully deploy the tool "silently" across a Windows network using a group policy? I can deploy it in "non silent mode" but would prefer to deploy it silently.

Tried Orca and looking at the MSI tables to induce silent mode but couldn't find it.

call this this command on the command line:
msiexec /qn /i "Sophos Windows Shortcut Exploit Protection Tool.msi"

That would work if i was going to each machine individually. but that's not what I want to do. I want to push it out silently using a group policy on the domain.

You could put that in a startup script to be executed by the computer account when starting the workstation. The executable must lie on a share accessible by computer accounts (read and execute for "authenticated users" will do, "domain computers" at the least). Haven't tried, though, will see first if this gets bad enough.

You may can use "psexec" to execute silent installation at remote computers.
