Bug report: Directory errors introduced by Sophos Antivirus for Macl

With a day of installing Sophos Antivirus for Mac, the following errors show up when I perform Disk Repair:

"Invalid volume file count (It should be 559133 instead of 559134)

Invalid volume directory count (it should be 130917 instead of 130916)"

The errors are fixed with Disk Warrior and are reproducible. The errors in File Directory are introduced every time I re-install and run SOX (3 times). It does NOT occur with Virus Barrier X or ClamXAV.

Tech Support is not interested in bug report I sent in.

  • Nothing has changed. Everytime I install SAV on my MacBook, the reported errors recur. Fortunately they can be fixed by removing SAV and running Disk Warrior.

I have not experienced any problems because of the Directory errors which SAV seems to cause, but until the problem is fixed, I will keep it off my Mac.
