Free Encryption 2.40.1.1 No decrypt after Vista Re-Install

Greets,

I installed the free encryption product, and after testing, encrypted a large directory that holds many important files.  I was able to access the files by typing in the password previously, so I know it was working.

I have now re-installed Vista and the encryption app, and now cannot access the encrypted files.  Now I have gone through the help files and searched the board for answers, but can't find anything.  I used a passphrase that is more than the 32 character maximum, but it worked before, so WTF?  If it worked before, I would expect it to work now...

What are my options for retrieval of these 67GB of important files?

    Hi MadMark,

    welcome to the forum and thank you very much for bringing this one up.

    Based on your description I would assume that the file header might be broken and that the file can therefore not be opened.

    In this case I would recommend to opened a new service call so that one can look into this.  When opening the case please provide as mayn information as possible (in case that you receive a error message please add a screen shot as well)
