there are several threads in this forum, for example SAV for Linux Free Edition is Discontinued - wonder why you didn't see any of them?

SAV for Linux is only available with the (paid) Intercept X (that considers every Linux machine a server).

because if you enter "Sophos Antivirus for Linux Free Edition" there is nothing related to this news , and if you go around the Sophos site you can still find the savscan documentation (using site: search in google).

discontinued means end-of-sales (where sales applies also to the free version) which was 20 July 2020.  Please note that end-of-life is 20 July 2023 and therefore documentation is still available.

if it's EOS for me the product is without value now (even if it was free and even if the EOL is 2023), so I uninstalled it from my server. I'll search cheap paid alternatives (under $50/year) or I'll use only clamAV.
