Hi - one of our computers has been out of commission for a while and I am exploring again how to fix it. it starts windows and then gives an error - lsass.exe Application error - the application failed to initiate properly (0xc00000005). click on ok to terminate application.
it sounds like this may be the sasser virus.
if i put this sassgui.com file on a CD and restart the computer - is it bootable? I can't get the computer to do anything so i think i need something bootable.
we have system mechanic and i created a drive medic emergency rescue CD and it didn't make any difference with the error.
