Removing maleware ads from bad QR Scanner App

Please help me with the following:

1. Do you still have the QR scanner app on your machine?

2. Which Sophos product are you using?

I deleted the QR scanner app after a few weeks once I realized it was the culprit.

I'm using Sophos Mobile Security on my Google Pixel 2 XL.

When exactly do you see this pop-up? Do you see this pop-up when you use any particular app?

Nope, any time. No rhyme or reason as far as I can tell. I believe the QR scanner I downloaded had maleware on it.

Please uninstall Mobile security and check if you see the pop-up ads.

I uninstalled but no change. Still pop ups.

Hi Jeff, 

I don't think it's a malware it is probably the ad that you would see while using the free apps, I suggest you to check all the other apps in your device, maybe one of them is running in the background which is throwing the ad popups.
