annoying pop up every few mins

I keep getting MICROPHONE IS ACTIVE pop ups from sophos,

constantly for the last few days,everytime i open a program,everytime i load a song from yt, its driving me crazy,sophos has worked fine for months now this

    Please confirm if you are using Sophos Home and Os in which you get this message.

    I'm getting same issue.  The microphone warning pops up every time the speaker is activated - ie When an email/text arrives, or when I empty the trash.  I am using Sophos Home for Mac.  OS= High Sierra 10.13.4

    Hi FX Guy,

    It could be the Webcam/mic protection which could be giving up the alerts. You can have it disabled from the following Sophos Home dashboard location if you do not wish to be notified.

    Open the Sophos Home Dashboard > click on the Mac client in which you see this issue > Go to Privacy tab > You will have the settings for Webcam protection and mic protection.

    Yes, I realize that I can stop the popups by disabling the feature.  I think the question is whether or not others are seeing the same bug when the feature is enabled and if so, can it can be fixed.  I think I'm looking for a solution that doesn't involve turning off the feature, because it's is a good feature and one of the reasons people will pay for the upgrade.

    Hi FX Guy & Mike Roots,

    If you feel that you are receiving the alerts for too many applications that are not accessing the Mic, Please open a support ticket from Sophos Home dashboard so that one our engineers can have it checked.

    I did that originally and they sent me here,I’ll bid you goodbye then and uninstall your software as I’m not going to be ping ponged

    Shame as like I said it worked fine and I don’t want to be in blissful ignorance by turning off the features

    I want said feature to work properly
