Installing Safeguard on top of an Imprivata Single-Sign on client

I have installed Safeguard WDE on a laptop running Windows 7, 64-bit. This machine utilizes an Imprivata single-sign on client.

The procedure (without safeguard) is when the laptop turns on, the user is presented with an imprivata GINA to sign on. This then automatically signs them into windows, as well as allows them to open applications and it will automatically put in the credentials.

After installing Safeguard and encrypting it I have it set to pass-through to windows. So, when the laptop turns on, the user is presented with the Safeguard POA screen. They put in their credentials, and are passed straight through to windows...However, it logs them into windows only, not the Imprivata GINA.

Is there a way to set this so it passes the credentials to the Imprivata GINA instead of the normal windows login?

  • Hi jdobbins88,

unfortunately SGN cannot fully wrap other credential provider at the moment; however, it is possible to semi automatic log on to the CP by disabling the automatic log on to Windows at POA level > then log on to the Imprivata client credential provider at windows level - the authentication to the AuthenticationApplication will be done automatically in the back ground then.
