Active Directory synching for SGN 5.50.8.13 error

I setup a scheduled task to synchronize SGN with our Active Directory daily. It was working fine until a couple days ago and now I'm getting this error:

-CBIERR_BAD_KEY on _DeleteEntry()

Anyone know what that means and how to fix it?

If I manually run the synchronize through the Management Center - it shows "The import failed. Additional Information: The import failed." and lists -CBIERR_BAD_KEY on _DeleteEntry() in the synchronization information area.

  • I opened a call today with support for a synchronization problem just like this.

    Import failed.

    CBIERR_BAD_KEY on_DeleteEntry()

    I received the SGNKeyTester.exe for the version I'm running.  When I had to hop off the support call, the tech, Carlos, gave me instructions for what to do next:

    After launching SGNKeyTester, proceed in order to

    1. Check only structure keys

    2. Check group and structure keys

    3. Check user and structure keys

    4. Check Computer and structure keys

    Repair all broken objects for each check.

    I had some wrong entries found when I selected to "Check user and structure keys", but when I clicked "Repair Selected", nothing happened.  I found that I had to "Check Computer and structure keys" first, repairing each of the selected items in turn.  After that, I checked again for user and structure keys, and there were no wrong entries.  Incidentally, the repair for each entry took only a few seconds.  I was able to synchronize after performing these steps.

    This was the first time I contacted support, and it was a very positive experience.  Carlos was very knowledgeable and patient.  He did a lot through a remote session, which I thought was great.

    I've found a lot that's helped me in these forums.  Maybe this will help someone.
