Sophos Prompts for Old Password on Start up

Sophos has recently started to ask for the old password after an AD password change. That is fine and all, but it won't accept the old password! Way too annoying.

We deleted the guy from the Sophos database and I am in the process of reimaging his laptop. Any suggestions? Any one?

Thanks,

Vince

  • Vince,

Logon will continue if you cancel the prompt to enter the old password.  To stop the prompt, if your users are authenticating at POA, follow the flow chart.  Otherwise, it should work to jump ahead to the last step: delete the user's certificate from Management Center.

We've had problems getting the synchronize > log off > log on to stop the prompt, but deleting the user's certificate has worked every time.  We don't authenticate at POA, so we routinely delete the certificate when we do an AD password reset.
