Win 7 and SGN 5.35.3

We are starting to research our Win 7 enterprise deployment and have a few questions regarding Utimaco SGN 5.35.3 and it's compatibility with Win 7. 

1.  Is it compatible?   We see that it can be installed and appears to function, we are just wondering if there is a preferred or better version out there? 

2.  If we do update the client version on our Win 7 laptops, will we need to update the SafeGuard v5.35.3.35 Management Center? 

Any advice, past experience or suggestions are appreciated.

    From what I've heard, SGN v5.40 will install on Windows 7, but is technically not supported.  v5.50 is the version that is technically supported, but the CP module is still not compatible and will not be until v5.60.

    As for whether or not you need to upgrade your management center, from the information I received from support when upgrading our server from v5.40 to v5.50, using older clients with a newer server version is supported (so, you don't need to upgrade your 5.35 clients if you upgrade the server to v5.40 or v5.50), but attaching newer clients to older server versions is not supported.  In our case, we are continuing to install v5.40 on most machines even though our server is running v5.50.
