SafeGuard Easy Format

We had a drive that was encrypted by SafeGaurd Easy 4.50.3, and it was formated without being decrypted. Now no matter what I do I cannot install Windows again. The data on the drive is irrelevant and does not need to be recovered. Is there anyway to fix this? I've already formated the drive twice using 2 different products, I used the recovery partition to install Windows XP, and it appeared to work but It can't get past the Windows loading screen. If I use a live CD I can access the drive, and can see the contents, but nothing else.

Thanks,

    Hi John,

Thank you for posting your question in the SophoTalk Community forum. If you delete all of the partitions and start with a re-freshed MBR you should get past this issue. While formatting alone is somewhat destructive, SGE also replaces the MBR. Removing all traces of prior drive configuration generally does the trick. Let us know how it goes.
