Safeguard Easy & Active Directory

Hi,

Hoping someone can help.  I was wondering if there is any kind of interaction between Safeguard Easy and Active Directory?  Am I right in assuming that if I wanted to use POA with a user that is logging onto our domain then I cannot use Passthrough to Windows, as the login details (password) will be different?

Is there any way of getting this to work without the user having to remember 2 passwords - the POA password and their domain password?

Thanks,

D

  • Hi dw-ecl,

Judging from your question, you are using SafeGuard Easy (SGE) 5.50, is that correct?

In that case, Windows autologon can occur with both local and domain accounts. That means there won't be a second password for the user to remember. (For earlier versions of SGE, there was no real link between both logins, although there were some tools that could help the user only having to remember one password).

Other than that, there is no link between SGE and AD.

    Hope this helps,

    Best regards,

    Vincent
