Question on "Import of new users allowed for"

if set to "Everybody" is a POA User considered "Everybody"

Scenario:

Laptop A has POA enabled. There is only 1 user who is also the owner named UserA. There is also a POA group assigned with a user account called POAuser assigned. If i reboot the laptop and disable pass-through authentication and log in with the POA user, when windows boots and I then try to login with some other domain user account, I notice it doesnt get added to the UMA/POA.

  • POA users ONLY exist in the POA environment, the next user that logs on after that will NOT get added an will always be an SGN Guest PERIOD until they either get added via the console or some other backend gui to manipulate the SafeGuard database OR you have the owner of the laptop uncheck "pass through authentication to windows" under options at the POA menu. The owner will sign on and hand the laptop to the next ONE person they want to add. The next person that signs on assuming you do that and you have the right policies in place to allow that will get added as an SGN User, just be sure to wait for the laptop to sync up to the servers, there is some two way communication with the SGN IIS server(s) that needs to take place to finalize it all.
