SafeGuard configuration package for Mac

Hi guys,

I just installed SafeGuard on our first Mac and it works great. I would like to connect it to our Enterprise Console but I need to obtain "SafeGuard client configuration package". Now the problem is that by the looks of it we do not run SafeGuard server at all. We do have encrypted PCs and we've used Sophos Deployment Packager to create Windows packages, but I have no option for that for Mac.

All documentation I could find it poinitng at using Management Console of SafeGuard server (not the Sophos Enterprise Console I've got) but again we don't seem to have that :/

I'm quite new in the place so my knowledge of setup is limited :/

Any assistance would be most appreciated.

Thanks,

Dan

  • Hello Dan,

this is mainly a community forum - do not forget that you are anonymous - so don't expect service levels (e.g. a defined response time).

IMO (I'm not Sophos) ChrisD has already given the answer (the feature you're looking for is ... not part of the Sophos Enterprise Console) but maybe he should have addressed your post in more detail. I'll give it a try ...

You can't "plug in" something into console - what's available in and can be managed by the console is downloaded by it. In yet other words - what you can't find in a CID can't be integrated. So is SafeGuard Easy version 6.0 included in the license but can't be managed with SEC.
