  • Hi Dibyendu Mudi,

if you're using SafeGuard Enterprise to protect your machine:

your old harddisk(s) is encrypted with a machine encryption key that was generated based on your old system installation and is currently not available on your new system - therefore, access to the encrypted harddisk is prevented and a "red key" will be displayed.

I'd suggest to contact your SafeGuard Security Officer / Administrator and ask them to use the SafeGuard Management Center and assign the encryption key of the old installation to your SafeGuard User Account.

After the encryption key was assigned, synchronize your SafeGuard Client with the SafeGuard Server (right click the SafeGuard Tray Icon and click "Synchronize"). You should be able to access your drives after you reboot your machine once.

    Hope that helps,

    ChrisD
