Error CheckConnection </WebService><DBAuth>failed</DBAuth><

When I do a connections check from the sgnsrv home page a get this error

<Dataroot><WebService>OK</WebService><DBAuth>failed</DBAuth><Error>A database exception occurred.</Error></string>

    There can be a few reasons for this error to come up so I have a suggestion. Knowledge Base article 107855 contains a PDF document which goes over installation Best Practices which you will find helpful.

    Section 3 Troubleshooting is really good for going over any issues that pop up during the installation. There is a section just for the IIS portion of the installation. This section is the pasting of the different KB articles of configuration issues and resolutions in one place.

    If you run into issues beyond the Installation Best Practices guide, I suggest opening a case with Sophos Global Support. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
