Error CheckConnection </WebService><DBAuth>failed</DBAuth><

When I do a connections check from the sgnsrv home page a get this error

<Dataroot><WebService>OK</WebService><DBAuth>failed</DBAuth><Error>A database exception occurred.</Error></string>

  • Hi This error looks like that the server isn't connecting to the database. Have you installed the registration and configuration package of the server that will be the Safeguard Server? You have to access the admin console and create a .msi that have the information of the database server and credentials and than install it in the server. You can check this procedure in the "SafeGuard® Enterprise Installation manual" at section "6.4 Registering and configuring SafeGuard Enterprise Server". Also remember that the SafeGuard Enterprise Server needs to create the connection to via port 1433/TCP, port 1434/TCP, port 1148/TCP and port 389/TCP (Check the "7.1 Prerequisites" item of the same file for more details).
