Safeguard Easy 4.20 -- Use of Several Hard Disks

Has anyone here encountered issues on using external HDDs on SGE 4.X?  I have a suspected issue on a computer running SGE 4.20.2. During initial encryption an external HDD was attached and got encrypted.  Later on, another external HDD was attached to the computer. The additional ext HDD was used un-encrypted.

During operations, SGE operated normally because it was able to read both the encrypted and un-encrypted HDDs.

Now, SGE seems not to be able to recognize the ext HDD is protected by SGE.

Attempting to use emergency tools gives an error message (SGE201: Hard Disk Read Failure).  BartPE does not load the ext HDD properly either because it wants to format the ext HDD.

Upon reading the SGE 4.20 manual, I noticed the below note in Chapter 11.2 (pg. 124):

If several hard disks are used (for example, an encrypted hard disk is removed and an unencrypted hard disk is then connected), this can cause problems, such as corrupting the SGE encryption table.

So, it seems at least the problem has been encountered before.

I've already opened up a ticket with Support group but wanted to survey other users' experience.

Regards,

Ankur
