POA fails on acer travelmate 6293 with usb support

Hi

In our enterprise we are using acer travelmate 6293 notebooks. We would like to safeguarding them with SGN 5.50 drive encryption with power on authentication.

For authentication we have to use token authentication, but POA does not load with usb support at all.

Is it possible somehow to extend the POA's usb support or is there any other solution for our problem?

    Hi Peter,

    thank you very much for posting and welcome to the forum!

    With regards to your question you have these options

    1. Play around with the USB hot keys > there might be working solution for your machine as we have three USB hot keys (F3, F5 and F7)

    2. Check the BIOS if you can set any BIOS compatibility settings - maybe this will solve the problem

    3. Try the latest available version of SGN as 5.5x isn't the youngest any more I would give SGN 6 a shot ;)
