Crash during HDD decryption process, 'SGE400 Kernel Load Failure', 'SGE201error.

Here is the scenario:

My laptop HDD was ensrypted with SafeGuard Easy 4.50.3. After the HDD was getting extremely slow, probably HDD error I tried to unencrypt the HDD to creata an image to transfer to another HDD. However, during the unencryption process the laptop crashed. After re-boot I receive an error message as follows: 'SGE400 Kernel Load Failure. System Halted'.

There is no PBA coming up automatically anymore after re-boot.

I downloaded the Emergency Disc Iso ( Artikle 108890) from the sophos website. After booting from the emergency cd an error message 'fatal error SGE201: Hard disk read failure' appears.

Are there any other ways to reinstate the HDD or continue the unencrypiton process to make the HDD and its files accessible?
