Hello,
Please could anyone give suggestions on the best method of using safeguard to encrypt machines that are going to be used for flexible working - home use through Citrix and also docked on the domain in the office on occasion. We are running safeguard 5.60 and at the moment we have some machines managed through the server and some that never come in the office and have been setup as standalone devices with a fixed POA username and password. From I.T's point of view we are thinking it would be better if the New Laptops were setup (Un-Managed) with a username and fixed encryption password for the issued user and maybe a backdoor login and admin account because of issues with working from home and polling back to the server. Can anyone give me your thoughts on this or suggestions.
The other Quick question I have is Bypassing POA altogether and just encrypting the Hard drive - if you fully encrypt but Bypass the POA screen so it loads up straight to the windows Logins is this completely defeating the object or would it still tick enough boxes in an Auditors checklist?? this is local government.
Thank you,
