I've been using a earlier (the first free) version of SGN for the Mac with no issues at all. However I recently replaced my HDD in my Mac for a new, larger 750Gb Momentus Hybrid HDD. I've tried to install the latest version of SGN, 6.xx for the Mac but it fails at the first hurdle and will not install. Is SGN compatible with Hybrid drives? Logically I can't think that this should be an issue, but I'm not as familiar with the Mac version of the s/w as I am with the Windows one. I replaced the HDD by creating a Carbon Copy of the original in a USB caddy which I then booted from. It booted successfully from this new drive without the POA login and obviously no encryption. Has the CC process carried over some markers that will prevent the new SGN being installed? Drive is : Seagate 750GB Momentus XT SSD; and I used Carbon Coppy Cloner http://bombich.com/ :28771

Unfortunately, I cannot answer that.
I'd suggest to open up a support request, including the Sophos Diagnostics Utility output http://www.sophos.com/en-us/support/knowledgebase/33533.aspx and have it reviewed by support.

Thanks Chris, I've done that already, no reply yet though.
The diagnostic utility is probably of no use as the install process failed before it could do anything like install files. Good to know there's now a Mac version though.
