Pressing CTRL + ALT + DEL on Vista for SSO

Hi Forum -

We have a mix of Vista Business and XP Pro machines in our environment.  I found this KB on the Sophos Website, describing our behavior -

http://www.sophos.com/support/knowledgebase/article/108972.html

So as is, users are having to hit CTRL + ALT + DEL to allow for autologon (only 2 users as I'm in trial).  Wondering how other users are getting around this, as it's not ideal to change that setting as described in a domain environment.  My thought is I can create a seperate GPO and filter it specifically to the machines that will have this installed.

Any other options or tips?

  • Using a GPO is the best option (in this case new machines with Vista or Win7 would automatically inherit this setting). As an alternative you could use the local computer policy (gpedit.msc) to switch off the ctrl+alt+del behaviour on the test machines.
